I've recently become a huge fan of using audiobooks to help me read through books faster. I have an hour commute to the hospital each way, which I drive 3 days a week. This give me a guaranteed 6 hours per week of uninterrupted time with my audiobooks. I also bought bluetooth wireless headphones and have started listening to my books while doing things around the house. I used to have such a hard time putting my book down to clean, do laundry and dishes. Now I just pop my headphones in, pick up my place on my audiobook and get my whole to-do list done! Audiobooks have really increased my ability to get through my TBR during the busy work week and I have completely rediscovered my passion for reading.
I am always looking for ways to listen to more audiobooks and I had the opportunity to partner with Playster Media to try out their audiobook subscription service. Instead of buying each audiobook you want to listen to, with Playster you pay a monthly subscription fee and have access to unlimited audiobooks. I couldn't believe it but I was excited to test it out!
The first audiobook I listened to was Stephen King's 11/22/63. I had committed to a buddy read for it and I knew it was going to take me awhile to get through it at over 1000 pages and more than 30 hours of audio. Playster was perfect for it - I was able to download the audiobook to my phone and create bookmarks to keep my place every time I had to stop listening. While I was in the middle of listening to 11/22/63 I also started The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. The narration for this one was great and I went back and forth between the physical book and the audiobook. Playster allowed me to have both books downloaded at the same time and I was able to switch back and forth between them without any issues.
I was also really impressed by the library selection. Every audiobook I looked for was in the library including brand new releases. I started listening to Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty in conjunction with the physical book. I ultimately decided the story wasn't for me but the book was just published in November and was in the library. I am currently reading Monsoon Mansion by Cinelle Barnes for a different book club and listening to the audio too. I again was able to download this one to my phone with no problem and I'm really loving it so far!
My experience using the Playster Unlimited subscription was phenomenal and I couldn't believe this was my first time using the app! If any of you are interested in testing it out this holiday season you can click my link here and use the code NERDY60 to try your first 60 days for only $6! If you listen to a ton of audiobooks this service is definitely something to check out!
Thank you to Playster for partnering with me so I could try the Playster Unlimited subscription out!
