Hate Notes by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward follows Charlotte and Reed. Charlotte has freshly broken off her engagement after catching her fiancé cheating on her and is trying to consign her would-be wedding dress. At the shop, she sees this gorgeous designer dress with a blue note sewn inside to the bride, from Reed. When the store will only offer her a credit, she exchanges her dress for this one as a reminder that love still exists out there.
Charlotte goes home and gets drunk, then decides to do some online investigating of the mysterious Reed. She gets a call the next day that she has an appointment for a showing at one of his properties with no recollection of making one.
She arrives to the showing and Reed is cold, curt and annoyed. By chance meeting she runs into an older woman in the bathroom that she connects with and the woman offers her a job. Low and behold that job is at Reed's company and it seems they'll be spending a whole lot more time together. Reed is furious about the new hire and Charlotte is disappointed to see the version of Reed from that blue note inside the dress is nowhere to be found...
I really liked this one! @mamajustwantstoread recommended it to me and I'm so glad she did! I can't wait to check out the other books that these two have teamed up on as well. This one is a slowwwww burn but the banter and back and forth is great! If hate to love is your jam as it is mine, you have to add this one to your list!
