Life’s Too Short

Well…we did it! Finished a book on this vacation! And only @authorabbyjimenez with Life’s Too Short could pull me from my funk. I had LOVED all of the books in this Friend Zone world and this one was no exception.

When Vanessa is left with her sisters child, she is surprised to find an ally in attractive neighbor Adrian, a successful lawyer who owns her building. The two become friendly and then friends and soon enough they have completely integrated into one another’s lives. Vanessa may be facing a familial progressive diagnosis but she refuses to do anything aside from live each day like it’s her last…

I loved Adrian and Vanessa together so much. They were such a good example that when it’s the right person it just works. Their conflicts were set in reality and driven in such a realistic way I was crying through the end of this book. This one tugged at my heart strings, made me laugh my ass off and feel a sense of excitement about returning to a story that I haven’t felt in a long time. The perfect read to get you out of your slump and feeling the things! // ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️
